Who are SAS Logistics?

We are a local partnership, customer focused and created to provide reliable, flexible and professional transport services at competitive prices. 

 

What do you do? 

We provide a range of services to both Domestic & Commercial customers. We specialise in House Clearance, Garden clearance, Garage Clearance, Office Clearance, Man & Van service, Removals, and also Collections & Deliveries and licensed waste disposal. We can also provide a range of other services such as Garden Decking, Laminate Floor fitting, plumbing in of white goods such as washing machines etc and Furniture assembly. No job is too much trouble or too small.

 

Where do you do it?

Based in Plymouth we serve the City and outlying districts throughout Devon & Cornwall and beyond. We can operate anywhere Nationally price depending.

 

How much does it cost?

Our prices start from just £25 per hour which includes use of a Large Van and 1 person.

Cleared 'waste' items which need to be disposed off are charged according to type, weight and volume so for an accurate guide check our prices page.

 

House Clearances are charged depending on load size and type of items to be removed and House Removals are charged by the hour. Non-local services may also incur a mileage charge of 50p per mile. For more information please check our prices or for a quotation please contact us here today.

 

Can I get a discount?

We offer 10% discounts to Senior citizens, members of The Armed Forces and Students (all subject to proof of eligibility)

 

What about insurance?

Unlike many of our cowboy competitors SAS are protected by an expensive insurance umbrellas with full Goods in Transit cover and £1 million worth of Public Liability Insurance so you can rest assured that if an accident were to happen during handling, or whilst on your property, then we are competely covered. Proof of our insurance is carried in our vehicles.

I want to make a booking, what happens next?

Once you contact us we will discuss exactly what service you require, what you want removed and where you want it taken. We will discuss any special needs, getting there, parking, access etc and then provide you with our quote. This quote may be issued by email and like all our quotations will be valid for 30 days.

 

If there are any special requirements there may be a need to make a site visit upon which you will be issued with a written quotation also valid for 30 days. Our quotes are obligation free and provided there are no significant changes to the service this price will be fixed.

 

I want to make a booking, how much notice do you need?

We pride ourselves on our flexibility and appreciate how busy our customers may be. We are available for booking 7 days a week and can even offer a local 'same-day' service* (*subject to conditions)

 

What if I change my mind after making a booking?

We understand circumstances change, all we ask is for as much notice as possible. This helps us best serve all our customers without wasting valuable time. Distance removals may require a security deposit.

 

What happens when you come?

We will contact you the day before just to confirm the arrangements and also to check that nothing has changed, and we will also call you when on our way. Our staff may arrive in a marked or unmarked vehicle but will be uniformed so you will know exactly who they are.

 

They will make an initial assessment of how best to carry out the service you have booked and once finished you will be issued with a receipt for payment, and if applicable a "Waste transfer note." This is a legal requirement and it will detail who we are and what we have taken. This note will also contain our waste Licence number and it should be kept for your records.

 

Please note that for Man & Van/Removal services it is your responsibility to check that any items or furniture we deliver on your behalf will fit inside your property. SAS Logistics will not be held liable for any damage caused due to poor accessability.

 

How can I pay?

We accept Cash, Debit, Credit cards*, Bank transfer and Paypal. Please note we do not offer credit. (*For Credit card payments a 3% handling fee may apply.)

 

What is your Referral Bonus and how can I claim it?

The referral bonus allows us to reward our loyal customers. In a competitive industry a great deal of our work comes from recommendations so if you know of family, friends, or colleagues who could benefit from our service please let them know. Should they make a removal or major house clearance booking with us, and inform us of your name and address we will reward you with £10 cash!!

 

Where do my cleared goods go?

We aim to Reuse or Recycle as much as we can and support local Charities via donations of suitable items. Did you know if fly-tipped items were traced back to you you could be liable for a £5000 fine? We are registered with the Environment Agency so you can be sure the goods and waste that we carry are responsibly managed. 

 

Please note there are many 'Man and Van' businesses offering very cheap rubbish collection services. They most likely are NOT licensed with the Environment Agency and therefore do NOT have the legal right to carry your waste! They may avoid the large fees payable at the recycling centre by fly-tipping your items. If any of your items are fly-tipped and can later be traced back to you, YOU could be liable for a £5000 fine because as a domestic producer of waste you have a legal responsibility to ensure it is responsibly disposed of.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Correct and lawful disposure of waste can be expensive. There are licensing costs and minimum fees payable by us at the recycling centres and there is generally the need for us to re-sort/re-bag waste.. Our waste disposal service starts at £35 for a single item or up to 100kg weight. There may also be additional costs dependant on the types of waste carried.

 

What if I am not happy with your service?

Customer Service is our absolute priority. If for some reason you feel we haven't met your expectations then you may contact us in writing at the address found here stating the nature of your complaint, and we will respond to your concerns within 7 working days. Your statutory rights are not affected.
